At The Noor’s Tech, we successfully resolved a display resolution and refresh rate issue on Arch Linux running NVIDIA drivers. The system was not detecting the correct resolution, and the refresh rate was lower than what the display supported, causing performance issues and screen flickering.

Challenges Faced:

• The display was locked to an incorrect resolution.
• The refresh rate was not reaching the expected value.
• Certain display settings were missing, affecting usability.

Our Solution:

We carefully analyzed the issue and took a step-by-step approach to fix it. First, we verified the NVIDIA driver installation and ensured the system was recognizing the GPU correctly. Then, we adjusted the display settings to manually configure the correct resolution and refresh rate.

Additionally, we created a custom display mode to support the correct settings and made persistent adjustments to ensure the configuration remained after a reboot. After applying these fixes, the system displayed the correct resolution and refresh rate, leading to a smooth and stable experience.
